The Types of Americans

There are four types of people in America. Four types of people that prevent the fight for equal wages, equal prices, equal bodily autonomy, or just respect. And there are those who help with the progress, with the progress that allows us to work, to vote, to speak, to live.

The four types of people:

The one unrestricted, convinced they are not the problem and determined to convince people of that fact. Yet not standing for those under oppression and watching from the sidelines as they are wronged again and again. “Not all men.”

The oppressor, determined to take others power, because “if others have power they have none.” Or maybe they just like to see us suffer.

The ones with their freedom taken just like us, convinced they deserve it or just oblivious to it. Blindly supporting their oppressor stemming from hatred or ignorance.

And finally the ones who fight for all including themselves, knowing they deserve the freedom of speech, religion, self expression and more – as everyone on this planet.

We aren't free yet. With so many people convinced we have no right to ask for these freedoms, that we don't deserve the "privileges" we fought for already, when we lost lives and respect and safety for these freedoms. So many of the atrocities committed toward us aren't taught in school – they’re too gruesome or too controversial. So the world remains undereducated and hateful, as it will stay, if we don’t stop arguing over whether we deserve freedom and finally take it.
